The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University—Columbus stresses the importance of personal attention. The university accepts roughly 150 M.B.A. students each year to foster a small, flexible program within a large research institution. Each student in the M.B.A. program follows the Fisher Triad, which guides students through academics, career tracks, and leadership and professional development. While learning some of the core functions of business, students can also select from more than 100 elective courses to narrow their focus.
Along with a full-time M.B.A. program, the Fisher College of Business also offers a part-time M.B.A. and an Executive M.B.A., as well as Ph.D. programs. Joint degrees are offered in conjunction with the Michael E. Moritz College of Law, the John Glenn School of Public Affairs, the School of Public Health, the College of Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy.
There are roughly 25 student clubs and organizations offered within the Fisher College of Business, including the International Business Club and the Finance Club. Students living near the campus in Columbus, Ohio have the option to live in Fisher Commons, the M.B.A. program’s living-learning community for Fisher students.
There are more than 60,000 alumni worldwide spanning six continents, and some of the most notable graduates are Jeffrey W. Montie, president of Kellogg North America; Clayton Daley, chief financial officer of The Procter & Gamble Co.; and Deven Sharma, president of Standard & Poor’s.
